Our Sales Development Representative (SDR) Day is just around the corner and the last chance to apply to role here and join our dynamic team. We caught up with Hrishik Anand, to see how his experience of our last SDR Day helped shape the start of his career in Sales.
What was your experience during the SDR Day like?
My experience during the SDR Day was a first of its kind, I had never attended an Assessment Day which was planned in such a highly thoughtful manner, allowing each of the participants to not just engage with each other but also gather insights about the wider business by speaking to existing employees from a variety of teams.
How did you find the hiring process of the SDR Day?
The hiring process was not at all complicated, gaining feedback later about our performance on the Assessment Day was an added bonus. During my previous applications with a multitude of firms, I have personally never heard back as soon as I did from the team at OneAdvanced, which was done as promised and did not give any of us a chance to keep stressfully following up on the progress about the later stages.
What did you learn from the day and from starting your SDR role?
My biggest learning from the Assessment Day came from our team-based activity, allowing me to realise the importance of my role when placed amongst a supportive and inspiring group, totally eliminating my idea that selling could potentially be a highly individual responsibility. In some way, I also reflect this learning since starting my role as with new people joining our team, I prioritise upon supporting and the instilling the positivity amongst every team member, considering this is how I was welcomed and have been treated ever since.
How has being part of the SDR Day impacted your career journey within Sales?
The biggest advantage was speaking to a variety of personnel within the Sales Division, the team during the SDR Day made sure to bring in Account Managers for them to have a chat with us and give us a glimpse into their journey of starting and succeeding as an SDR. While being interviewed by the SDR team manager, I was given a detailed insight into the day of an SDR and the processes followed by the team to function efficiently. The Revenue Enablement team shed light on their approach towards training the SDRs in order for them to achieve their ultimate potential. All of these factors made me well equipped to fathom the expectations from Day 1 of getting into my role, allowing me to fit in and not feel out of place.
What has been the most exciting thing about your experience so far, either on the day or since starting?
The most exciting aspect of my experience until now is the culture that I am gratefully a part of, a culture that is fixated to profess growth amongst us, the credit for which goes to the inspirational set of people that drive this culture and work towards bettering it every single day.
