Advanced will demonstrate its financial budgeting and forecasting solution, Collaborative Planning, on stand seven at the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accounting (CIPFA) Scotland Public Finance Conference on 26th – 27th March 2015.
Collaborative Planning is a web-based solution that integrates with all leading financial management systems. It is currently used by more than 50 local authorities making it easier to access and analyse real-time information. The solution automates financial management, improves financial transparency and devolves greater budget responsibility to managers.
Advanced is sponsoring the conference which, following last year’s Scottish independence referendum, is based around the themes of ‘new thinking, new powers and new people’. The conference will explore questions around Scotland’s future, the potential for future reform and devolution and the role of the public sector in designing this ‘new’ Scotland.
Advanced will present a workshop each day entitled ’Managing your Budget – Excel to Excellence’. This case study led session will share how public bodies have realised both cost and efficiency savings from taking a collaborative approach to their budgeting and forecasting process. The workshop will take place from 9.45am to 10.30am on both days.
Dean Dickinson, Managing Director at Advanced (Public Sector, Enterprise & Education Division) says,
“We are proud to be involved with such a significant conference for Scotland’s public sector. The public sector has faced many challenges in recent years and accurate, timely financial reporting has become more important than ever. Our software supports organisations to meet those challenges and is already being used by organisations such as NHS National Services Scotland, Aberdeen City Council, University of Edinburgh, and Police Scotland.”
